Silence and quietness give you the possibility to feel sensations, to connect with your body, to listen to your inner voice instead of the daily chatter and thoughts of your mind and outer distractions. It gives you the opportunity to cultivate your body, mind and heart awareness and embed your physical and mental practice in your system in a holistic and wholesome way. Joy, compassion, courage, grace and equanimity will become your daily compass.

The daily strengthening but gently given yoga, the guided mindfulness meditations, the sound journey and the loving and inviting yin yoga on the rooftop with the sea on the background will open your body, your mind and your heart. And invites you to investigate what is and to let go of what should.

We love the old fishing town Olhao for its’ down to earth salty charm, warm and hospitable people, creative community, cobbled Arab Medina and faded grandeur. Getting lost in the twisted network of cobbled streets along the way is part of the fun. There is usually a surprise or two to enjoy along the way. When you get to the sauntering sea front where thousands of swifts greet each sunrise and dusky pink sunset, there are the fabulous markets at the water’s edge and a host of restaurants, cafes and bars.

As you ride the slow ferry to the island village of Culatra there’s time to breathe the briny air, then to stroll the boardwalk over lonely dunes to share her wild, white sandy beach with oystercatchers and cockle-draggers. As the pristine sweet waters of the Rio Formosa National Park mix with Atlantic waves you can be perfectly alone.
